About Guy

In 2024, I left my role as a corporate trainer,
having gained significant experience of public speaking.

Before this, I was an educator. As a former school teacher, I am adept at describing and
explaining events in an easy to absorb and interesting manner.

Since 2014, I’ve spent my spare time researching and giving presentations focusing
mainly on aviation history. I use archive film footage, technology, music, humour and a genuine
enthusiasm for my subject to provide a fascinating insight into a variety of topics.

My presentations are designed to be of interest to everyone, whether they have a curiosity about
aircraft or not. I am, of course, always willing to take questions at the end.

I have shared thought-provoking presentations with numerous audiences ranging from U3As,
Active Retirement Associations (ARAs), WI’s, Rotary Clubs, Probus, Oddfellows, Historical Societies,
The RAF Association, Royal British Legion, DGAC (French Air Traffic Controllers), Blind Veterans,
and other similar groups.

I do not use jargon, so my talks are suitable for all. Men, women, young, old -
an entertaining presentation is always guaranteed with GuyInTheSky.

My passion for the subject is often commented upon and my inclusive style ensures all will learn something. I am often one of the first to arrive, and the last to leave.

I have spoken at RAF Brize Norton, the Royal Aeronautical Society and for Vulcan To The Sky.

My love of aviation came from my father, who was in the RAF.
He had a passion for air displays. He would take me to airshows as a child and it wasn’t long
before I too was hooked.

I am named after Guy Gibson, leader of the Dambusters, and my favourite aircraft is Concorde.
